Gold Country Rotary E-Waste Drive
Here is what a
E-WASTE DRIVE looks like. Rotarians organizing and working together to give the community a place to dispose of their old electronics and monitors, and Rotary a way to raise monies for what rotary does in the community. This was a two month long journey of planning and organizing pick-ups and deliveries of old used stuff.
Rotary raises money to provide Scholarships, Leadership Training (RYLA), Speech Contest, Music Contest, Helping the Homeless, partnering with Women of Worth (WOW), Reading program at Rock Creek School, Santa Assistance and so much more.
The Rotary Clubs of Auburn are having their annual Foundation Dinner at the High Hand Nursery in Loomis on February 22, 2010. More details will be furnished when they are available.
Gold Country Rotary will be have a special luncheon for Valentines, on February 11, 2010. You are invited to bring a spouse or significant other to this lunch. There will be "Pacific Standard Time Barber Shop Quartet" for our entertainment pleasure.
Rotary Club of Napa is having it's CYCLE FOR SIGHT in the Napa Valley, Saturday April 17th, 2010. Cycle for Sight has three scenic 50, 25, and 15 mile courses, that wind among the hills and vineyards of the World Famous Napa Valley. The ride starts and finishes at Justin Siena High School where the Cycle for Sight Wine and Music Festival will take place.
During the festival enjoy wine tasting from Napa Valley restaurants, all while listening and dancing to the sounds of "Pride and Joy". For more information go the web site of: http://www.cycle4sight.com
